Feasibility study, project recommendation, and establishment of an operating company, front-end engineering, conceptual design, environmental impact assessment and various negotiations. Plant successfully opened in April 99.
$109 Million LPG JV:
Approval of Chinese central government (MOFTEC) on project feasibility and JV structure. Construction of the largest underground LPG storage facilities in China well under way.
$30 Million Caltex China Investment Co.:
Establishment of the holding company for all Caltex activities in China
